Presentation of World Energy Outlook 2011

The Danish Energy Agency and Danish Energy Association invites you to a unique presentation of the World Energy Outlook 2011 by the International Energy Agency’s Chief Economist Dr. Fatih Birol. Presentation takes place on 15 November 2011, 10-12.30 pm at Mogens Dahl Koncertsal, Snorresgade 22, København.

How does increasing energy prices affect the fragile world economy?

What will be the impact of Germany's decision to close down their nuclear power plants on the European energy system?

What is the status of the UN’s target of maximum 2 degrees temperature increase?

World Energy Outlook 2011 gives the answer to these, and a wide range of other questions, regarding the long term energy situation and the emission of greenhouse gases.

The Danish Energy Agency and Danish Energy Association invites you to a unique presentation of the World Energy Outlook 2011 by the International Energy Agency’s Chief Economist Dr. Fatih Birol.

Subsequently CEO Dr. Johannes Meier, European Climate Foundation and CEO Anders Eldrup, DONG Energy, will give their assessment of a world and an energy system in transition.

Martin Lidegaard, minister for Energy, Climate and Buildings, opens the event and comments on the World Energy Outlook, and gives his views on the challenges the world is facing.
